Onsdag 8. januar kl. 12.00 testes Nødvarsel på mobil og Sivilforsvarets varslingsanlegg over hele Norge i en felles nasjonal varslingsprøve. NATIONAL ALERT TEST

Rundt kl.12 tester Sivilforsvaret tyfonene med signalet "Viktig melding – søk informasjon". Samtidig sender politiet ut test av Nødvarsel på mobil.
Det betyr at mobiltelefoner i hele landet vil vibrere og spille av et høyt lydsignal, samtidig som tyfonene uler.
Dersom du ikke ønsker å motta varselet, må du slå av telefonen eller sette den i flymodus fra klokken 11.55 til 12.15 onsdag 8. januar.
Hvorfor teste?
Nødvarsel på mobil testes samtidig over hele landet. Hensikten er å gjøre befolkningen kjent med hvordan det oppleves å få et Nødvarsel og for å sikre at systemet fungerer som det skal.
Tyfonene testes hvert halvår, den andre onsdagen i januar og den andre onsdagen i juni. Hensikten er å avdekke tekniske feil og for å gjøre befolkningen kjent med lyden og signalet.

National Alert Test
On Wednesday, January 8th at 12.00 PM, the Emergency Alert on mobile and the Civil Defense sirens will be tested across Norway in a joint national alert test.
Around 12.00 PM, the Civil Defense will test the sirens with the signal “Important message – seek information.” At the same time, the police will send out a test of the Emergency Alert on mobile. This means that mobile phones across the country will vibrate and play a loud sound signal, while the sirens wail.
If you do not wish to receive the alert, you must turn off your phone or set it to airplane mode from 11.55 AM to 12.15 PM on Wednesday, January 8th.
Why test?
The Emergency Alert on mobile is tested simultaneously across the country. The purpose is to familiarize the population with what it feels like to receive an Emergency Alert and to ensure that the system works as it should.
The sirens are tested semi-annually, on the second Wednesday in January and the second Wednesday in June. The purpose is to detect technical faults and to familiarize the population with the sound and signal.
