Norge opplever en økende tilstrømning av ukrainske borgere, både som ønsker å søke beskyttelse (asyl) i Norge og som har behov for informasjon om hvor lenge de kan oppholde seg i Norge uten å søke om særskilt tillatelse.

Flyktninger fra Ukraina (eller andre ikke-EU-land) som ankommer Norge ved flyplasser eller grenseoverganger på land eller til sjøs, og som har behov for beskyttelse og innkvartering på asylmottak, blir via lokalt politi sendt til Nasjonalt ankomstsenter i Råde i Viken. Der blir de registrert som asylsøkere
De som ikke har vært innom et slikt ankomstsenter, bør selv kontakte politiet for å be Norge om beskyttelse.
Hvis man ikke registrerer seg som asylsøker, vil man bare kunne være i Norge som turist, og har ikke rettigheter på offentlige tjenester.

Norway is experiencing an increasing influx of Ukrainian citizens, both who want to seek protection (asylum) in Norway and who need information about how long they can stay in Norway without applying for a special permit.
Refugees from Ukraine (or other non-EU countries) who arrive in Norway at airports or border crossings on land or at sea, and who need protection and accommodation in asylum reception centers, are sent via local police to the National Arrivals Center in Råde in Viken. There they are registered as asylum seekers.
Those who have not been to such an arrival center should contact the police themselves to ask Norway for protection.
If you do not register as an asylum seeker, you will only be able to be in Norway as a tourist, and do not have rights to public services.
